Duluth Golf is nearing a century of tradition and history. Enger Park Golf Course, set atop a high bluff, treats golfers to enjoyable experiences and breathtaking views of Duluth Harbor. Built in 1927 near the historic Enger Park Tower, the 27-hole golf course features three distinct 9-hole layouts. Lester Park Golf Course was established in 1934 on the north shore of Duluth and is well known for its spectacular beauty and unique views of Lake Superior seen from 20 of its 27 holes.
Vilnius Grand Resort, Vilnius, Lithuania
The V Golf Club is a new addition to the Vilnius Grand Resort Hotel. Located 20 minutes from the city center, this challenging championship golf course meanders around and through 350 acres of pine and birch forest, lakes, and streams. Designed by Bob Hunt, PGA Design Consulting Ltd., Bristol, England, this complex also includes an adjacent golf academy that features a driving range with covered tees, chipping and putting greens, and practice bunkers. Opened in July 2009, The V Golf Club was rewarded by being named as a Top 5 Finalist for "International Project of the Year" by Golf Inc. magazine. The club also hosted its first Lithuanian Open Championship in August 2010.
Nestled perfectly into the rolling Uruguayan countryside, the Carmelo Golf Club at this Hyatt Resort has gained the reputation as one of the very best in South America. This Randy Thompson/Kelly Blake Moran-designed championship golf course was created by moving over a million cubic meters of swampland. The course, opened in 2000, has been superbly integrated into the natural environment. In many areas, wild horses can be seen grazing among the surrounding pampas grass plains.
This is classic Donald Ross at its best. Constructed in 1927, this wonderful par 69 golf course features elevated greens, rolling fairways lined with mature trees, flowing creeks, and tranquil ponds. One of just two Donald Ross designs in Connecticut, The Country Club of Waterbury is considered by many to be one of the finest private golf courses in the state. It has hosted numerous Connecticut State Amateur as well as Connecticut Open Championships. The club was originally founded in 1893 and is listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the United States.
Originally constructed in 1955 for a private club, this William Mitchell-designed layout is a beautiful, well-maintained parkland golf course with tight, tree-lined fairways. Considered by many as "the Crown Jewel of the Hudson Valley", Putnam County Golf Course is well-known for its gorgeous fall vistas.
Fishers Island is one of the greatest experiences in golf. Consistently ranked among the top golf courses in the United States and the world, the scenery is so overwhelming that it's difficult to stay focused on golf. Arguably Seth Raynor's finest design, this links-style course opened in 1926.
The Webster City Country Club was initially established as the Webster City Outing Club in 1910. Warren Dickinson designed the first layout. He returned in 1922 for improvements after the club acquired additional land. The club was one of the first 25 golf clubs established in Iowa.
